About Me
Meet Eldon Richey – Woodturner, Artist, and Simi-retired Mental Health Clinician.

Based in Eugene, Oregon, I create handcrafted wood art that brings warmth, elegance, and authenticity to any space. Each bowl, platter, and vessel I turn is a one-of-a-kind piece—shaped by decades of experience and a deep love for the craft.
My journey began over 55 years ago, building furniture as a hobby. But it was 25 years ago that I discovered the magic of woodturning, the moment when raw timber transforms into something soulful and enduring. What started as weekend work became a full-time passion after retirement, giving me the time to refine my skills and explore the deeper question: How do I become a better artist?
Today, I approach each piece not just as a technical challenge, but as a canvas for expression. I’m constantly seeking new inspiration, new techniques, and new ways to let the natural beauty of wood shine through. My work is designed to complement any interior, blending craftsmanship with character.
If you're looking for art that feels personal, timeless, and rooted in tradition, I invite you to explore my collection.
